About Paul Robinson Photography
Shortlisted for the 2019 British Photography Awards.
Paul Robinson is a photographer based in the West Midlands. After picking up a DSLR camera for the first time, with no training, in 2013 he has been taking photographs every chance since. Starting with simple holiday photographs the interest grew to a serious hobby and Paul now takes all his pictures with a Canon 5D Mk III.
Working full time in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter this has provided Paul with some slightly more unusual photographic opportunities such as jewellery workshops and gold smelting, some pictures even finding their way onto company branding.
Being a lover of the outdoors Paul’s camera now goes with him everywhere (even to the top of Snowdon!) Therefore it would make sense that some of Paul Robinson’s favourite types of photography include Wildlife and Landscape. Paul took the opportunity in 2017 to experience some of the best scenery Great Britain has to offer, with trips to Scotland, Snowdonia and The Lake District.
Paul has also been successful with his Portraiture Photography, having one of his images featured in the May 2017 edition of the Digital SLR Photography Magazine.
Paul Robinson also joined a local camera club at the start of 2017, taking part in many competitions (even winning a few) using the feedback from judges and other members to improve his skills.
2018 was an exciting year for Paul, a fantastic trip to Iceland and a drone added to the kit list made for some great new photographic experiences. This year also saw an increase in family and pet portraiture as well as commercial photography for Paul.
Going into 2019 Paul Robinson is planning on entering some of his work into national competitions to work towards his BPE1 award and, of course, continue taking photographs!
Some of Paul’s work is available for purchase on this site, also, please feel free to contact Paul with any questions via social media and the contact section of this website.
